Equanima web tools had grown one at a time, each behind its own link with no shared entry point. We built Equanima Studio to bring them into one cohesive product for coaches, therapists, and practitioners. As Graphic & UX/UI Designer, I extended the design system to web and shaped the experience that tied it together.

THE CHALLENGE

The main challenge was retention. Internal signals pointed to tool complexity, not lack of interest, as the reason people weren't coming back. On top of that, the visual language was maximalist and informal, not aligning with the company's shift toward a B2B audience that needed to trust the platform as credible and professional.

WHAT I DID

  • Extended the app's design system to web: rebuilt buttons into a 108-variant, engineering-ready component set

  • Unified the homepage, turning scattered tools into one product

  • Designed a reusable modal system: confirmations, forms, and a subscription upgrade flow

  • Ran UX audits across web and mobile to diagnose the retention problem

  • Invented a gamification mechanic unique to the brand: stars that build constellations revealing Equanima's own illustrated characters
